About the event
"Trash Attack!" is a community clean-up event. During this event, volunteers head out across Kill Devil Hills to "attack" the trash: beach, soundside, or anywhere in between, they help make our community a much cleaner, much brighter area!
In conjunction with our upcoming "Trash Attack!" event, we’re hosting a poster contest! The posters play an important role in maintaining a litter-free Kill Devil Hills by promoting the practice of keeping our community clean of litter.
During 2026, Kill Devil Hill's is incorporating an A250 theme into the annual poster contest:
"Honoring Our Past, Protecting Our Future." With this theme, we’d ask poster contest participants to design a poster that shows how keeping Kill Devil Hill's clean is part of being a good citizen.
