Dare A250 Committee
The Dare A250 Committee was formed to coordinate local celebrations of America’s 250th birthday. The committee’s work will culminate in a variety of programs, events and activities running through July 2026 and beyond, marking this historic milestone in our nation’s history.
Organizations serving on the Dare A250 Committee include:
Dare County Government, Town of Duck, Town of Southern Shores, Town of Kitty Hawk, Town of Kill Devil Hills, Town of Nags Head , Town of Manteo, Dare County School, National Park Service, Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, Outer Banks History Center, Friends of Jockey’s Ridge, Jockey’s Ridge State Park, Outer Banks Conservationists, Pea Island Preservation Society, Roanoke Island Festival Park, College of the Albemarle, Daughters of the American Revolution, Secotan Alliance, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Dare Arts
